A funny thing happened on the way to 2012.
Like many modern marketing companies, the Hive evolved from a traditional ad agency. We were raised doing print and television ads for blue-chip clients. Back then, it was easy: Single-page ad or spread? 30- or 60-second commercial? But in the 20-plus years since we entered the business, the world has changed. The media landscape exploded, leaving marketers with infinitely more media choices. Some agencies resisted the change, but we fell in love. For us, change simply means that now we have more ways to reach very specific audiences in very specific places, making our marketing efforts that much more efficient.
Interestingly, our process hasn’t changed nearly as much as the media has. In fact, many of our clients have said that the Hive is as much like a consultancy as it is an ad agency. We take strategy very, very seriously. We start every project with a deep understanding of the brand, its consumer, and the marketplace where the two intersect. And frankly, our creative teams are more excited about solving marketing problems than doing a few new ads for their portfolios.
