Knight Ridder was the second-largest independently owned newspaper conglomerate, and was part of a dying breed. Like other newspapers, they were looking for a way to survive in a media environment that was increasingly digital, and nearly always free. They came to the Hive to create a campaign to encourage consumers to use their extensive and local digital properties.

Twenty five markets and 75 unique, completely original ads per month—it could have been a logistical nightmare, but instead, this newspaper campaign was a resounding success.
